Hamilton GOP Announces Campaign Headquarters Grand Opening

8/28/2007 -  On Saturday, September 8 at noon the Hamilton GOP will kick off the campaign season by hosting the Grand Opening of its campaign headquarters located at 2235 Nottingham Way.

According to Hamilton Republican Chairman Bruce R. Darvas Hamilton GOP mayoral candidate John Bencivengo and his running mates, Councilwoman Kelly Yaede and former Councilman Kevin Meara, will be in attendance, along with state and county candidates on this year's ballot, as well as former elected officials.  "For everyone who believes that a change in leadership is needed not only here in Hamilton, but at the state and county levels as well, this will be an excellent opportunity for them to come out and meet our team of experienced candidates," Darvas said.

"With the immense expression of support we have received from Hamiltonians throughout the township over the past several months who want to see that John, Kelly, and Kevin are victorious on Election Day, we have planned for a large crowd and will be serving hot dogs and hamburgers as well as providing beverages," Darvas added.

"We have been absolutely overwhelmed at the level of support we have received since we began this journey eight months ago," Bencivengo said.  "With every door Kelly, Kevin and I knock on and every person we talk to we continue to hear the same thing: that a change is desperately needed in Hamilton.  Over the last eight years Hamiltonians have seen their taxes dramatically increase, unplanned residential development replace open space, and outrageous traffic clog our roads.  The people are calling for honest leadership and better government and Kelly, Kevin and I will answer that call," he continued.  "It's time for a change and events such as this one allow us to bring our volunteers and supporters together to get energized for the victory push to November."

"John, Kelly, and Kevin have been traveling throughout Hamilton delivering their positive message about restoring the financial integrity of Hamilton Township, reducing the unplanned residential development, and controlling the heavy traffic congestion that has occurred under Mayor Gilmore's watch over the last several years," Darvas commented.  "Eight years of fiscal mismanagement, unplanned development, and ever-increasing traffic is enough.  This November Mayor Gilmore must be sent a clear message that his actions are unacceptable and by bringing together our supporters at events such as this, we will ensure that message is loud and clear," he concluded.
